An exciting opportunity has opened up for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher to join our team.

About the RoleAs a Secondary Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing high-quality lesson plans aligned with the Australian curriculum.
- Creating a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Participating in professional development and school-wide events.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school's science program.
- Mentoring students and acting as a positive role model.
Commencing on 16 January 2026, this position is full-time.
Relocation assistance is available.
Skills and experienceThe successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice. The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.
Essential qualifications and requirements- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.
- Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
- Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
- Able to affirm the College's Statement of Faith.
- Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
- Able to work with all members of the College community.
- A willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours.
- Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
