We are seeking a L&D Specialist to support our capability strategy by attracting, developing, and retaining team members. This role designs and delivers engaging learning content, enhancing the employee experience and enabling our restaurant teams to execute our vision effectively, fostering skill development and driving performance.
ResponsibilitiesLearning Content Creation
- Design online learning materials including videos, resources, and tools that resonate with our workforce and are tech enabled.
- Review, measure, and report on training programs and skills growth in collaboration with the Head of Capability.
- Stay updated on relevant technology, best practices, and emerging design elements to continuously improve content.
- Ensure the timely delivery of projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Assist with new program market launch strategies.
- Create creative briefs and manage end-to-end engagement with the Creative team.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
- Oversee platform UX reviews and updates, including planned system maintenance and upgrades.
- Establish reporting cadence and act as the key point of contact for the platform provider.
- Contribute to platform improvements with the provider and ensure consistent engagement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
- Develop on-brand communications that support learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Training Coaches and People & Culture teams, to improve learning solutions.
- Provide feedback and insights to continually enhance learning programs.
- Assist with the implementation of health, safety, wellness, and injury management policies within learning design.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in learning content design, preferably in QSR, retail, or hospitality industries.
- Strong capability using authoring software, learning tools, and MS Office suite.
- Experience with learning platforms like FranConnect/World Manager, and Workday (desirable).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office, Lectora, and Articulate (desirable).
- Creative thinking & innovation.
- Strong communication and influence skills.
- Ability to build trust and collaborate effectively.
- Ownership, accountability, and integrity.
- Customer-focused with a growth mindset and commitment to excellence.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage strategic goals.
