Overview

With a strong footprint in Melbourne and a growing national presence, our client provides tailored solutions to institutional investors, corporates, and private clients.

As Head of Communications, you will report directly to the CEO and be a key member of the leadership team. You'll own and drive all aspects of internal and external communications — from media relations and thought leadership to corporate messaging, digital content, and crisis communications. You'll play a critical role in enhancing our brand voice, promoting our expertise, and ensuring consistent, high-impact messaging across all channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an integrated communications strategy aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Lead media relations, public relations, and crisis communications efforts.
  • Craft clear, compelling messaging for clients, investors, regulators, and the public.
  • Oversee content strategy for digital, social, and print platforms.
  • Support executive communications, including speeches, op-eds, and investor updates.
  • Partner with marketing, investment, legal, and compliance teams to ensure message alignment and regulatory clarity.
  • Manage internal communications to foster culture, engagement, and alignment.
  • Build and manage a high-performing communications team and external agency relationships.
About You
  • Experience in communications, public relations, or corporate affairs, ideally within financial services, investment management, or a regulated industry.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong media network and proven track record in media relations.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in crisis and issues management is a strong advantage.
