Value NSW (VNSW) is seeking up to six (6) Graduate Valuers to join the in-house Rating & Taxing valuations team. The team values every parcel of land in NSW and provides valuation support for compensation in compulsory acquisitions on behalf of the Valuer General, as well as cross-cluster valuation support as appropriate.
Application close Friday 3 October 2025 at 11:55 PM. Interviews scheduled the week commencing 20 October 2025 via MS Teams. A recruitment pool may be created for ongoing/temporary opportunities of the same role or role type over the next 18 months.
The RoleAs a Graduate Valuer, you will develop skills to become a qualified Valuer. Upon completion of the graduate program you may be eligible for Associate membership with the Australian Property Institute. The Graduate Valuer undertakes and assists with providing professional, expert and authoritative property and valuation information and technical expertise in line with legislation, policy and community standards and expectations.
The 24-month program includes up to four work rotations of up to six months each with different teams within Value NSW. Rotations may include Rating & Taxing, Objections, Compulsory Acquisitions and Special Valuations to provide wide training and learning experiences.
Responsibilities- Provide professional valuation information and technical expertise consistent with applicable legislation and policy.
- Gain exposure to valuations for rating, taxing and compulsory acquisitions.
- Support cross-cluster valuation work and advisory activities where appropriate.
- Engage with stakeholders and contribute to transparent, objective, timely, and quality outcomes.
- Develop knowledge of relevant legislation and policies and understand how they apply.

- Student Member or Provisional Member of the Australian Property Institute
- Completion of, or undertaking, qualifications that meet eligibility for Associate Membership of the Australian Property Institute; must be completed or eligible by end of 2025
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel
