Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Remote

Dealer Studio is a leading Australian provider of eCommerce software solutions for the Automotive industry. We work some of the largest automotive dealerships and dealership groups across Australia and are also partnered with multiple vehicle manufacturers.

Critical Requirements

Total Experience: At least 7+ years in software or systems engineering, with 3-5+ years in a senior SRE or Platform Engineering role.

Database Guru: Deep, hands-on experience in RDBMS (especially PostgreSQL). This isn't just about running queries; it's about being able to diagnose slow performance, optimise queries and schemas, and plan for serious scale.

AWS & Cloudflare: A strong background (5+ years) with core AWS services and proven experience (2+ years) managing Cloudflare for CDN, DDoS, and DNS.

CI/CD: Expertise in building and optimising CI/CD pipelines, specifically using GitHub Actions.

Observability: Extensive experience (4+ years) using tools like New Relic to set up effective monitoring, logging, and alerting.

Incident Response: Demonstrated experience leading incident response efforts, defining protocols, and creating runbooks.

Highly Desirable

ISO 27001: Hands-on experience (2+ years) supporting an organisation through ISO 27001 certification or compliance, including implementing security controls and change management policies.

Migration Planning: Proven experience in planning and executing a migration from a PaaS like Heroku to a more flexible platform.

Strategic Leadership: A history of making architectural decisions, mentoring development teams, and acting as a technical authority on platform strategy.
