If you're excited by high-availability systems, can explain complex stuff in plain English, and enjoy collaborating with product, sales and ops, you'll fit right in. You don't need every single skill listed, if you've got strong Ubuntu/command-line chops and SaaS infrastructure experience, we'd love to chat.

This is a Brisbane role based out of our office on Queen Street. We support flexible working – especially when infrastructure work must be done at less glamours hours or when life gets busy, but we also value in-person collaboration and innovation as a team.

What you'll do (the good stuff)

Ubuntu server wrangling: Keep our growing fleet humming in HA clusters across multiple providers, configure, patch, harden, tune, back up, and recover when needed.
PostgreSQL care & feeding: Operate and tune our databases, manage backups and recovery. Familiar with repmgr HA clusters and Barman live backups? Big plus.
Cloudflare smarts: Look after the network edge that connects our customers to our SaaS platforms.
Performance eyes: Watch over uptime and performance with PM2, UptimeRobot, custom scripts and more, fix issues before customers even notice.
Security first: Use our cybersecurity tooling to monitor behaviour, spot anomalies, and respond quickly with the wider team.
Infrastructure as Code: Champion automation (hello, Ansible) so infra config is versioned, repeatable and part of everyday development.

Where you'll pitch in across the business

Security compliance: Help us shine in audits (UK Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, IRAP, FedRAMP, GovAssure, etc.).
Smart scaling: Find resource-savvy, creative ways to run and grow our SaaS infrastructure.
Reporting & forecasting: Share clear updates on reliability, security and capacity, and help plan what's next.
Collaboration: Jump in with sales, operations and development to deliver smooth customer experiences (config, testing, docs… the lot).

About you

Experienced: You've done infrastructure and systems admin in a SaaS environment and have scaled production systems. (This isn't a graduate role.)
Hands-on: Comfortable living in the terminal on Ubuntu. Ansible experience is essential. Database experience (hello, PostgreSQL) is required – bonus points for experience with repmgr and Barman.
Automation-minded: You script in Bash, Node.js or similar. Terraform (or similar) experience is a nice-to-have, not a must.
Tool-friendly: Knowledge of Cloudflare, PM2, Wasabi, rclone, rsync and distributed file systems is a bonus.
Great communicator: You can walk technical and non-technical folks through architecture, security, backup, recovery and failover without the jargon soup.
Team player: Proactive, adaptable, can-do. You like helping out across functions and you follow through.
