Opportunity:

Boeing is now accepting applications for Apprentice - Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Avionics) to start in January 2026. This role offers the chance to study and work in Townsville, gaining a Diploma in Aeroskills - Avionics with Aviation Australia. Support Australia's advanced attack helicopter fleet, the Apache, which integrates innovative technologies for battlefield dominance.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Fortnightly wage: AW1 $2,818.84 + Super + Allowances
  • Roster: 38 hours/week
  • Allowances: Per diems for travel, onsite parking, canteen
  • Type: Full-time Permanent
  • Location: RAAF Base Townsville, Queensland
  • Start Date: January 2026
Role Details:

Support Australia's new fleet of AH-64E Apache helicopters as an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Undergo training with Aviation Australia, earning a Diploma in Aeroskills - Avionics, and develop skills for a career in aerospace maintenance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing aircraft for maintenance, repair, or modification
  • Conducting inspections and rectifications
  • Aircraft flightline handling duties
  • Post-maintenance testing
  • Managing ground support equipment
  • Reporting to Maintenance Operations Manager
Candidate Profile:

Looking for enthusiastic, committed individuals with strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for teamwork. Prior aviation experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • C class driver's license
  • Australian citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
  • Prior certificates or experience in Aeroskills advantageous but not mandatory
Security Clearance:

Willingness to undergo vetting for Negative Vetting 1 security clearance. More info at Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
