Reporting to the Wellness & Hygiene Manager, the role of Public Area Cleaner (Wellness & Hygiene) is a full-time position located in Brisbane. You will be responsible for the day-to-day presentation and overall aesthetic appearance of our beautiful Scape assets in Brisbane. Key responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Daily cleaning of public areas including using a carpet cleaning machine and floor scrubbing machine in common rooms, lounges, theatre, outdoor terraces, gym and laundry.
  2. Being fully aware of health and safety obligations.
  3. Hours of work will generally be Mon – Fri starting between 6am and 8am, with some occasional weekend work as required.
  4. Weekly and monthly cleaning of student rooms.
  5. Help prepare our buildings for open houses and tours.

We want someone who:

  1. Has an eye for detail.
  2. Can prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  3. Works well independently and as part of a team.
  4. Has the ability to operate cleaning equipment.
  5. Is fully aware of health and safety obligations.
  6. Can work with and relate to young adults while maintaining professional and cultural sensitivity and boundaries.
  7. Has 1-2 years of cleaning experience in hotels or commercial spaces.
