Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) busca un Lead Effects Technical Director para liderar un equipo de Effects Artists. Esta función implica una estrecha colaboración con los supervisores de FX, VFX y CGI, asegurando que todos los shots entregados cumplan los exigentes estándares y visión creativa de ILM.

Responsabilidades principales:

  • Diseñar y crear animaciones FX complejas, simulaciones procedurales, fluidos, partículas y sistemas dinámicos.
  • Iluminación y renderizado de elementos FX y producción de composiciones.
  • Desarrollar nuevas técnicas y solucionar problemas técnicos complejos en plazos ajustados.
  • Establecer estándares de eficiencia, velocidad y calidad para el equipo.
  • Retroalimentación creativa y técnica continua a nivel de shot y secuencia.
  • Colaboración interdepartamental para mejoras y soluciones conjuntas.
  • Coaching y mentorización de artistas de FX dentro de la producción.
  • Gestión de trabajo, horarios y casting junto a Producción.
  • Supervisión para que la entrega cumpla plazos y presupuesto.
  • Apoyo al equipo en feedback de desempeño, mentoring y buen clima laboral.
  • Participación activa en reuniones de producción.
Requisitos
  • Grado en Informática, Gráficos por Computadora o experiencia laboral equivalente.
  • Especialización en Houdini y experiencia avanzada en Python o Vex.
  • Mínimo 10 años de experiencia en producción de VFX y funciones de liderazgo.
  • Dominio de sistemas operativos Linux y Unix.
  • Historial en efectos de humo, fuego, explosiones, agua, nubes, vapor y partículas.
  • Experiencia demostrada y motivación como mentor de artistas.
  • Habilidades avanzadas de comunicación para formación y dirección de equipos técnicos.
  • Capacidad para desarrollar herramientas show-specific y para otros FX TDs.

  • Capacidad para liderar equipos en entornos exigentes y colaborativos.
