Senior Electrical Engineer

Title:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in Low Voltage Systems and ASP3 delivery to join our KBR Electrical Engineering & Consulting Team based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

You'll be a key technical leader, driving the design and delivery of electrical systems across our six market sectors: Transport, Energy, Resources, Water, Defence & Buildings and Sustainable Solutions. This is a high-impact role that supports the safety, quality, and performance of critical infrastructure projects across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of electrical LV and ASP3 designs across infrastructure projects.

• Project Lead on a current Transport project, leading a small group of engineers to deliver LV and ASP3 designs

• Provide expert advice on installation, maintenance, and design best practices.

• Perform calculations and modelling of LV systems.

• Prepare high-quality technical documentation and make system improvement recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to deliver project outcomes.

• Manage design budgets, schedules, and resourcing to meet project timelines.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong technical culture.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• CPEng accreditation (or eligible to apply).

• Minimum 10 years' experience in the design and engineering of LV systems.

• Demonstrated experience in ASP3 designs for the major Distribution companies.

• Proficient in electrical design software such as AGI32, PowerCAD, ETAP and SKM Powertools.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure sector standards and electrical safety principles.

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Solid project management and prioritisation capabilities.
