Overview

Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) Brisbane is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing exceptional specialist and emergency services to pets in need. We are seeking a full-time Imaging Veterinary Nurse to provide a high standard of client and patient care across diagnostic imaging modalities.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Safety: Assisting with patient induction, positioning, and monitoring during image acquisition
  • Image Quality and Acquisition: Ensuring high-quality images are captured, processed, and transferred to the appropriate systems (PACS, Rx Works)
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and troubleshooting imaging and anesthetic equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • Room Management: Managing stock levels, performing cleaning, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained imaging environment
  • Documentation and Compliance: Managing patient information and ensuring all necessary forms are completed and updated
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Working with imaging staff to ensure smooth image acquisition and correct documentation, including managing daily schedules and troubleshooting errors.
Qualifications
  • A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or higher
  • Must be competent monitoring anaesthetics
  • Experience in diagnostic imaging and knowledge of imaging equipment and procedures across multiple modalities is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
