The Role

Our Strategic Advisory team spans all business areas, providing strategic and technical advice including asset management, process improvement, plant reliability, and maintenance reviews. As a key member of our team, you'll lead advisory projects for major mining clients, integrating technical Reliability Engineering expertise with stakeholder engagement to drive success.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Secure advisory work for mining clients, focusing on reliability engineering.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams to leverage connections and upsell advisory services.
  • Nurture relationships with key clients to identify and win new project opportunities.

Project Delivery

  • Deliver advisory work for mining clients, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Support WSP's key mining industry clients, managing project delivery and client satisfaction.

Technical Expertise and Support

  • Act as Reliability Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Client projects.
  • Deliver value to Clients through hands-on support and coaching, driving on-site improvements.

This role is based in Perth, Western Australia, with occasional travel to Client sites. We offer hybrid work arrangements to support work-life balance.

About You

We're looking for a dynamic individual with experience helping heavy industry improve plant and productivity. Combine technical expertise with business acumen to make a significant impact for our Clients and the wider business.

You will have:

  • A degree in Engineering or related reliability engineering credentials.
  • Proven experience in reliability engineering, particularly in mining or asset-intensive settings.
  • A proactive mindset with demonstrated success in business development or client relationship management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, balancing technical and commercial priorities.
  • Expertise in collaborating on business projects and contributing as an SME in reliability engineering.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to meet client needs.
