Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. We offer both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer/Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department in a permanent full-time capacity. This role works year-round, with four weeks of annual leave.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the Payroll Manager with processing bi-monthly payroll, perform the full payroll function on rotation with the Payroll Manager.
  2. Prepare monthly payroll reconciliation, conduct daily bank account reconciliations, prepare and reconcile corporate credit card accounts, including posting journals.
  3. Assist with the month-end process, which includes balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management, support the annual audit and budget preparation.
  4. Assist in preparing Business Activity Statements, serve as backup for accounts receivable, including tuition fee billing and debtor management, provide backup support as directed or in the absence of Finance staff.
Key Skills and Competencies:
  1. Strong computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  2. Experience in Synergetic is advantageous.
  3. Bookkeeping and accounting experience.
  4. Able to work to deadlines.
  5. Excellent organisational skills.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Education and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor of Business or Accounting Degree, or equivalent.
  2. Currently completing or desire to complete CA/CPA qualification.
