The Payroll Agency is partnering with a large retail business to recruit a Payroll Project Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
You will report to the Payroll Manager and lead a team of Payroll Project Officers to ensure the project's smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement a new payroll system, configuring all modules for optimal performance.
- Design and execute comprehensive unit testing processes to meet functional and technical requirements.
- Identify and resolve defects in the new system promptly.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for the wider payroll team and stakeholders.
- Manage parallel pay runs to compare results between old and new systems.
- Oversee various testing phases to validate system performance.
- Configure and maintain the new system's payroll module, ensuring accurate setup and functioning.
- Ensure pay policies are accurately reflected in the new system, including leave entitlements and deductions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from People & Culture and Finance departments to align the project with business needs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, configurations, and testing outcomes.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience implementing large payroll systems.
- Strong payroll processing knowledge.
- Able to work on-site in Sydney CBD three days a week (non-negotiable).
