Job Title: Assistant Media Financial Controller

About the Role

The ideal candidate will support the management of E-comm & Marketing budget, reporting into the Financial Controller.

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Performing monthly variance analysis and communicating findings to CDMO and division finance teams
  • Supporting the business in their budget build and submission

Responsibilities

  • Cost control: managing purchase order approvals, monitoring budget adherence, analysing cost allocation, and maintaining expense trackers and forecasts using Power Query
  • Helping the business resolve supplier billing and payment issues
  • Month end close: performing standard month end tasks, reviewing accrual balances, posting journal entries, reconciling data between the media management system and SAP, and performing quarterly audits of media invoices for accuracy

About You

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Media Financial Controller with a passion for retail and a proven track record in cost control. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to build collaborative relationships across various levels of the organization.

  • 5+ years of experience in Cost Controlling, or a closely related field, preferably within the FMCG or retail industries
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Able to work independently, take initiative and demonstrate resourcefulness, while also contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies, embracing continuous learning and development
