Experienced Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (I-PCIT) Clinician – Karitane

Responsibilities- Deliver I-PCIT (PCIT program via the virtual platform) to families accessing the KIDS HUB – a project initiative and partnership between the Ministry of Health and Karitane.
- Deliver services to meet the agreed number of families set by the lead agency.
- Provide safe, effective, quality care consistent with Karitane's mission, values and standards of care, and adhere to the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
- Work within Karitane's Perinatal, Infant and Child Mental Health Services (PICMHS) framework and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain professional standards, participate in supervision, and uphold the Professional Code of Conduct.
- AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Nurse. A degree in Psychology, Social Work or Nursing providing eligibility for membership or full registration with the relevant professional association.
- For Psychologists: full registration; Clinical Psychologists: endorsement in Clinical Psychology or a Master's degree (or higher) in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Registered Nurse: demonstrate at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience and relevant qualifications in perinatal, infant and/or child mental health.
- PCIT Clinician will receive ongoing support and supervision in delivering PCIT treatment.
- Knowledge and experience in working with families and an understanding of infant mental health.
- Computer literacy and ability to use technology for service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mediate and negotiate conflict effectively.
- Understanding of parenting in the context of diversity.
- Current Driver's Licence.
Temporary part-time employment in accordance with The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisation's Professional and Associated Staff Agreement 2022 or The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisation's Nurses Agreement 2017. Shift times and days may vary. Karitane services are provided at several sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area. The majority of Karitane's services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave. Karitane supports a smoke-free environment. Applicants will have a commitment to EEO & WHS, ethical practice and cultural diversity. Relevant police checks, Working with Children Checks and other checks will be conducted for recommended applicants.
Vaccinations- Category A workers are required to meet and maintain vaccination criteria (as per current NSW Health policy directive), including annual influenza vaccinations.
