Deputy Residential Manager

Overview

Deputy Residential Manager - Plumpton | St Francis at Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT). We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership skills to join Southern Cross Care NSW/ACT as Deputy Residential Manager at the Plumpton Facility. This is a full-time position working 08:00-16:06, Monday to Friday. You will provide direct care, support and guidance to residents in accordance with best practice, leading the care for residents in a manner consistent with quality and respect, while mentoring the care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a caring environment that enhances the security, welfare and wellbeing of residents through planning and directing the provision of a range of high quality personal and clinical care.
• Contribute positively to teamwork to achieve operational outcomes and promote a positive SCC workplace culture in alignment with SCC Values, Mission and Vision.
• Liaise and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure effective and efficient workflow.
• Comply with and contribute to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing or tertiary qualifications in Aged Care
• Experience in a relieving leadership/supervisory role
• Good interpersonal and written English communication skills
• Ability to play an active and positive role as part of our Care Team, providing quality care and support to frail aged people
• Sound understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth legislation as it applies to Aged Care Facilities (Desirable)
• Sound understanding of, and ability to correctly apply, relevant principles of the Fair Work Act (Desirable)
