A South Australian Government agency is seeking a skilled Category/Project Manager or Contract Analyst for a short-term engagement. This role will focus on contract management, reporting, and analysis to support the agency in achieving its operational and financial objectives.

Role Overview:

This short-term contract role offers an immediate start to a highly capable professional who can provide contract analysis and management support. You will be responsible for reviewing contracts, monitoring KPIs, preparing reports on contract spend versus approved budgets, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making.

About the Person:

You are analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in handling complex contract information. You have strong reporting skills and are proficient in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools. You communicate effectively, work independently, and are comfortable supporting senior stakeholders in a fast-paced government environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse contracts to ensure compliance with terms and KPIs
• Prepare contract spend versus approved budget reports
• Provide insights and recommendations based on contract performance data
• Support project and category management initiatives as required
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis tasks to support decision-making

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Proven experience in contract management, analysis, or project/category management
• Strong understanding of KPIs and contract performance metrics
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly
• Previous experience working in a government or regulated environment is highly desirable
