The Opportunity

Montgomery Advisory is working with a prominent national commercial law firm to recruit a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join their Real Estate and Projects team in Sydney. The firm has a strong reputation in the property space and is continuing to grow its footprint nationally.

The Firm

Our client is recognised for its deep expertise in the Australian property market. They provide strategic, commercial, and solution-focused advice across all stages of major property transactions and developments. The team is known for its hands-on mentoring, collaborative culture, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service across a broad portfolio of work, including institutional clients, developers, government, and listed property trusts.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced and highly regarded partners on a wide range of matters, including:

• Large-scale acquisitions and disposals
• Commercial, retail, and industrial leasing
• Agreements for lease, assignments, and licences
• Strata developments, easements, planning agreements, and subdivisions
• Retirement living and manufactured home estates
• Government property transactions and land use matters

You'll also gain valuable experience in the use of PEXA for transaction management and be supported to continue developing your skills and sector expertise.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• At least 4 years of post-admission experience in commercial property law
• Experience advising on acquisitions, disposals, and complex title structures
• A strong working knowledge of leasing, subdivisions, and other real estate instruments
• A proactive, client-centric approach and strong commercial acumen
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
