
Client Manager Accountant

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced client manager delivering exceptional results for our clients. Supported by a great team of accountants, bookkeepers and support, you will manage a portfolio of small and medium business clients. Must LOVE numbers and attention to detail essential. This is not a processing job, although there can be some of this if you enjoy crunching the numbers.

- This is a hands on and client facing role in our office at Warana. Most of our clients prefer in person appointments and we are currently seeing new clients every week
- Note: Although we prefer part time up to 30 hours (we are predominantly a part time office who enjoy work/life balance), we will consider a full time position for the right candidate.
What you will be doing in your role…
- Meeting in person or onsite with clients, providing both tax and business advice (don\'t worry if you aren\'t sure about business advisory - solid tax & accounting experience is a great starting point)
- Meeting new clients and leading the onboarding process with our support team
- Daily inbox and phone calls...our clients love to ask for our advice and we enjoy answering with practical and holistic advice
- Managing incoming work and compliance deadlines including delegation to the accounting and bookkeeping team, quote/WIP management, review of work, client nurturing and delivery of the work in our client action meetings
- Practical and detailed tax planning estimates and client delivery meetings during April-May each year
- Review of work and assist in mentoring junior team including overflow for the 2 x directors portfolio of clients with the view to develop relationships with clients and manage them in the future
- Processing work for high level client groups if you have capacity and enjoy this work
- Working closely with the directors, you will have the opportunity to work on and manage special projects. Some recent examples include CGT Scenario planning, cashflow and forecasting for bank/investors for business expansion, divorce settlement advice, due diligence on business purchases and so much more.

Experience
You:
- Have a minimum of 4+ years Australian Public Practice Experience
- Are CA/CPA qualified or working towards this (not essential)
- Excellence in communication and building relationships (you\'re a people person)
- Experience with Xero, XPM & Handisoft highly regarded
- Value what it is to be a team and possess the ability to work collaboratively with peers
- Have a bright, positive and personable nature
- Able to problem solve autonomously. Our directors are always here, but we need a senior who can make professional decisions on a day to day basis
This is a part time (25-30 hours negotiable) role in our Warana office and a salary commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
