Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Specialist located Gold Coast, QLD. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for preparing and managing purchase orders, evaluating suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness, negotiating contracts, and conducting detailed procurement analysis. Day-to-day tasks include supplier communication, maintaining procurement records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, Purchasing Officer, or in a similar role an advantage.
  • Skills in Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate with various teams
  • Experience in the construction or excavation industries is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement of consumables, spare parts, and tools needed for the ongoing maintenance and operation of our fleet and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the workshop team to monitor inventory levels and anticipate future needs, ensuring timely orders for necessary parts and materials.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and parts.
  • Track inventory levels and ensure critical consumables and parts are always in stock to prevent downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, supplier invoices, and delivery schedules.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues, such as delayed shipments, damaged goods, or discrepancies, in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and streamline the procurement process.
  • Regularly report to management on procurement activities, inventory status, and any challenges faced in fulfilling orders.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
