Position Title: Assistant in Nursing, Mental Health – The Forensic Hospital – Casual
The primary purpose of the Assistant in Nursing (AIN) at the Forensic Hospital is to provide support in the delivery of high-quality mental health care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role is limited to delegated activities appropriate to the AIN's level of knowledge and skill and is commensurate with their education and experience. The AIN conducts direct care activities as outlined in the nursing care plan, contributes to accurate health care documentation, and maintains effective communication with patients and the health care team. Staff are expected to embody the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, ensuring a culture of safety and support within the hospital. Adherence to the policies and procedures of the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) is essential for compliance and quality of care.
Essential RequirementsCurrently undertaking and has completed one or more years of a nursing degree and/or is at Certificate III level of the Australian Qualifications Framework using the national competency standards from the Community Services (e.g., Certificate III in Health Services Assistance from TAFE NSW).
Salary & BenefitsYour salary is $51,844.63 - $56,885.08 p.a (Pro-rata for Part time) plus superannuation. You'll have access to:
