Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced geotechnical engineer to join our team and work on a diverse range of projects across Australia.

The role offers the opportunity to work with our passionate team on design and investigation projects, including national-scale transport infrastructure, renewable energy, and commercial developments.

You will have the opportunity to utilise your technical, project management, and leadership skills to plan, coordinate, and deliver geotechnical investigations and reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team on national-level projects.
  • Assist in the procurement phase by preparing innovative proposals that respond to client needs.
  • Contribute to ensuring high-quality project outcomes during the delivery phase.
  • Undertake fieldwork as required, using your experience and business needs.
  • Coordinate and manage geotechnical construction support projects.
  • Undertake geotechnical analysis and data interpretation.
  • Mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Understand and uphold D&N's Quality, Environmental, and Safety Management system.
About You:
  • Ready for a challenging career step in consulting.
  • Professional experience in consulting within Australia, New Zealand, or overseas.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering various geotechnical investigation projects.
  • Innovative and quality geotechnical analysis skills, including slope, foundation, pile, and retaining structure analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Predisposition to working both in the office and in the field.
  • A commitment to health and safety.
  • Qualifications in Earth Science, Civil Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Rocscience software and pavement design software is ideal.
  • 6+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Australian working rights or a viable path to obtain them.
