This role requires building and maintaining collaborative relationships with cross-functional team members and invested audiences. The Innovation Manager is a key role for our organization to achieve our near and long-term objectives.*Key Responsibilities:*The Innovation Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities:* Innovation Strategy Support / Pipeline Development Support* Support the development of a multi-year innovation pipeline that aligns with organizational priorities.* Monitor and mine key performance insights, consumer insights, US portfolio and innovation pipeline, supplier innovation, and competitive portfolios for opportunities aligned with NWC priorities.* Incorporate brand specific and retailer specific product problems to solve in the pipeline development.* Innovation Process Management / Development / Project Management.* Champion the consistent use of the innovation process and follow the process in projects that have been assigned to the Innovation Manager to lead.* Prepare alignment decks and business cases for assigned projects and support the successful execution of the commercialization process and/or project manage to launch when needed. This requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration with departments such as finance, supply chain, sales, marketing, insights, regulatory, quality, etc.* Lead key innovation process meetings such as monthly approval meetings with senior leaders.* Develop contingency plans to deliver plan/project objectives.* Test product acceptability, including concept and sensory where appropriate.* Support Director of Innovation with ideation and further idea validation work.*Environmental and Social Responsibility:** Support with the development, implementation and monitoring of the organization?s environmental and social goals as they relate to your team. This includes establishing your team?s performance metrics in alignment with the organization?s sustainability strategy.* Identify opportunities for innovation or continuous improvement to enhance the organization?s sustainability goals (such as waste reduction/ diversion, circularity/ plastic reduction, emissions reduction, sustainable procurement, local sourcing, etc.).* Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization by encouraging your team?s participation in sustainability initiatives and committees (such as volunteering at community events, Sustainability Committee/ DEI Committee participation, 1% for the Planet employee nomination contest, etc.).*Required Qualifications:*To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
