Junior Full Stack Software Developer - Contract or Part-Time

Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer who can own and evolve core features across our React + Next.js frontend and ExpressJS backend. You'll be instrumental in delivering new functionality and optimizing performance.

What You'll Be Doing

Frontend (Next.js + React)

  • Build and maintain React components (Tailwind, hooks, dynamic forms, filters)
  • Implement complex UI/UX workflows
  • Handle frontend routing, modals, protected routes, and React Query for API state
  • Manage SEO and structured data for high-performance indexing
  • Build and maintain robust backend services that power core features
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs to connect the frontend with database systems and third-party services
  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability across the application's backend architecture
  • Implement scheduled processes and support backend automation workflows
  • Work with relational databases using modern query builders or ORMs

DevOps / Infrastructure

  • Deploy and monitor backend using AWS services.
  • Frontend deployments through Vercel.
Skills & Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 3–5+ years of React.js / Next.js and Node.js / Express experience
  • Styling proficiency with Tailwind CSS
  • Deep knowledge of building and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases
  • Git, GitHub, and modern CI/CD practices
  • Self-starter attitude — able to own full-stack features end to end

Preferred:

  • Prior experience deploying full-stack apps on AWS
  • Comfort with performance optimization, SEO, and accessibility in web apps
