Role overview

We're looking for a Workers Compensation Officer to play a central role in managing and coordinating workers compensation claims. You will be responsible for the lodgement and management of workers compensation claims for SLHD, including maintaining information systems required for efficient claims management. You will work closely with the SLHD Workers Compensation Claims Manager and the Recovery@Work and Workers Compensation team to support injury management and improve workers compensation claims outcomes. You will liaise with and respond to queries from workers, managers, Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) Claims Service Provider (EML), solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers. Responsibilities
  • Manage lodgement and ongoing administration of workers compensation claims for SLHD.
  • Maintain information systems required for efficient claims management.
  • Collaborate with the Workers Compensation Claims Manager and Recovery@Work team to support injury management and improve outcomes.
  • Respond to queries from workers, managers, TMF/EML, solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • Experience in the management of complex payroll operations, including the calculation of pays and experience using Solvlnjury, Stafflink, HealthRoster and IMS+ systems.
  • Knowledge and experience applying current NSW workers compensation legislative requirements for claims management and the calculation of claims payments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with workers, injury management and workers compensation team members, managers, supervisors, claims managers, solicitors, investigators, doctors and treatment providers.
