Job Description

The primary role of a Designated Trading Representative (DTR) is to deliver consistent high-quality trading execution and to manage order flow for our institutional equities client base.

Key Performance Outcomes

  • Consistent, timely, high quality equities trading execution
  • Management of internal counterparties to co-ordinate flow and ensure best execution outcomes
  • Diligent order creation and being mindful of regulatory data requirements
  • Ongoing communication and engagement with sales trading, research sales, research analysts
  • Ongoing provision of market trading insights to the equity sales desk to manage client expectations and aid in additional order generation
  • Some direct client engagement regarding executions/reportings and provision of trading and market insights
  • Ongoing market analysis for stock ideas and to identify trading and liquidity opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with ASX operating rules & regulations and completion of internal training obligations
  • Ongoing involvement in process improvement and system developments

Previous Experience

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification
  • Middle/front office equities exposure preferred
  • DTR accreditation – ideally with a minimum of 1-2 years experience
