Working with us
  • For 1 year you will receive an isolation bonus of AUD$3,500. If you stay for 2 years you will receive AUD$10,500, and for your 3rd year (and every year after that) you will receive AUD$7,000.
  • Base salary ranges between $107,960 and $115,604 p.a. (Nurse Grade 6 (Band1)).
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
  • Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual.
  • Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

In your downtime we will provide 2 return airfares p.a. (including spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with your recreation leave; of which we offer 5 weeks p.a. with a 17.5% loading/bonus. Plus 2 weeks p.a., travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences. We also offer staff accommodation (if eligible) or a private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months.

Julia Creek MPHS

Julia Creek MPHS has 2 acute in patient beds, 4 aged care beds, two emergency beds and one resuscitation bay. Julia Creek MPHS provides primary and secondary services inclusive of emergency, ambulatory and x-ray services. Patients that require a higher level of care can be managed for short periods of time before being transferred to a higher-level service. Visiting outreach and allied health services are provided by internal and external service providers. Julia Creek MPHS works in close partnership with the McKinlay Shire council to deliver not only health services within the hospital but to the community as well.

About The Role

Permanent full-time position available.

The Clinical Nurse (CN) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning, and coordination skills in the clinical management of emergency and in-patients, residents and clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met. Demonstrate effective co-ordination of staff and utilisation of unit resources to optimise service delivery and compliance with the Business Planning Framework.

Requirements
  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
  • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
  • Appointees are required to hold ETEK triage competency or equivalent and a current Advanced Life Support certificate.
  • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
  • A period of probation may apply.
