We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager for one of our clients. Fixed Term contract until end of September, 6 months initial with possible extensions. Hybrid role with up to 4 days of work from the client's location in Brisbane South side.

Summary of Requirements from our Client

The primary objectives of this foundational phase of the project are to improve the top three Customer Journey stages identified and to improve the experience both when customers first choose us and as their needs change:

  • It is easier for our customers, clients and participants, across all business entities to interact with us.
  • Our customers will know what to expect from us. The business rules and processes that underpin how we operate will provide a consistent experience for everyone experiencing our services.
  • Individualised customer experiences are made possible with strong back-of-house functions, underpinned by a consistent use of systems, tools and processes across all business entities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

The purpose of the position is to perform responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager which includes the management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

This position will conduct methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes, the information used and the data on which the information is based.

Key Result Area

  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex projects (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies).
  • Selects methods and tools, using iterative techniques where appropriate, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained.
  • Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital cost against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders.
  • Agrees project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate. Identifies, assesses, and manages risks to the success of the project.
  • Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, consistent with the methods in use.
  • Ensures Quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure.
  • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale, and resource budgets, and are signed off.
  • Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Validates and justifies business needs.
  • Oversees development and implementation of solutions, considering the implications of change on the organisation and all stakeholders.
  • Guides senior management towards accepting change brought about through process and organisational change.
  • Builds strategic relationships and work collaboratively with nominated subject matter experts to document and develop 'end to end', 'as is' and 'to be' business processes to affected business units.
  • Establishes relationships with stakeholders to develop trust and ensure reliable and accurate information.
  • Distils business needs to identify fit for purpose options.
  • Enhances business systems by providing accurate information about business needs and priorities.
  • Provides plain language advice on technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Works with key stakeholders to identify how changing business requirements may be delivered with existing solutions.
  • Produces and compiles high quality documentation, ensuring alignment and compliance with the defined Project Management Framework, processes, tools, reporting regimes and approaches.
  • Undertakes other tasks as agreed with the EGM Business Strategy.
  • Guides and supports team members to provide customer focused services.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in managing enterprise-level projects that require substantial process, system and cultural change, and result in improved business performance.
  • Previous experience in whole of business/complex transformation projects.
  • Previous experience with not for profits will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Carelink applications will be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience of leading business change initiatives, including development and application of change management strategies, plans and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with different professional groups and levels within a large and complex organisation to collaborate in project delivery.
  • Sound understanding of project frameworks and processes, with demonstrated ability to apply structured project management methodology throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • A demonstrated pragmatic, 'can do' approach to meeting time and quality requirements in a business and project environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills particularly with respect to working with a diverse range of stakeholders and solving and influencing complex organisational, procedural and policy issues.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills at an advanced level (including the ability to establish relationships, facilitate workshops, consult, and influence both business and technical people).
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and assist the development of less senior team members.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, PMBoK, Prince 2 or significant experience deemed the equivalent.
  • Current Queensland Open drivers' licence.

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk upstairs.
  • Sit at a computer up to 95% of the day.
