This is a critical role within our GEHO business, and we are seeking a qualified Field Service Technician to join our team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing service and supervision for customer equipment, including GEHO positive displacement pumps, GEHO hydraulic paste pumps, steam turbines, gearboxes, and generators.

The position is based out of Perth, Western Australia, and requires travel to remote locations throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Create a relationship with the customer through face-to-face contact, fostering trust, reliability and strength through knowledge of the Weir Minerals product.
  • Assist in managing workshop activities and supply technical support to Weir workshops where required.
  • Provide service to customers with GEHO pumps and HPGR equipment, and all other non-EOM and Weir Minerals equipment where required.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in Fitting/Machining - Certificate III or above.
  • A minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar field is desired.
  • Proven ability to follow directions and work well within a team environment.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug and alcohol tests.
