Accountant at Hyatt Centric Melbourne

As the Accountant, you will be involved in various functions of the Finance department such as general ledger, accounts payable, receivable, and more. Working in a small team, you will support the Director of Finance to complete day-to-day operations and help the team achieve our goals.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Review and support bank reconciliation processes
  2. Review employee expense submissions for accuracy and policy compliance
  3. Assist departments in interpreting and analysing monthly financial reports
  4. Provide data for budgeting and forecasting
  5. Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
  6. Coordinate payroll tax lodgments and ensure compliance
  7. Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  8. Review daily financial reports from operational departments
  9. Conduct reconciliations of general ledger and credit card accounts
  10. Assist with cash flow reporting and liquidity analysis
  11. Oversee accounts receivable and ensure timely collections
  12. Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  13. Assist with statutory obligations like BAS lodgment
  14. Analyse daily revenue reports for accuracy
  15. Understand operational finance workflows
  16. Collaborate with the offshore Shared Service Centre
  17. Perform other duties as directed by the Finance Manager or Director of Finance
