The Opportunity

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Mechatronics or Electrical Engineer to join our AGV team in Belrose. As an AGV Engineer, you will play a key role in AGV projects, overseeing everything from the initial system specifications and design to the final delivery and implementation of the AGV system for our customers.

This dynamic, hands-on role offers the opportunity to travel and spend approximately 75% of your time on-site, bringing AGV solutions to life in diverse locations.

Work with technical experts and gain valuable experience, with a global leader in AGV solutions. Our head office is based in Belrose (on Sydney's Northern Beaches), where as part of the onboarding process, you will have the opportunity to experience the AGV firsthand.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and system processes are followed within assigned projects
• Preparing AGV functionality and technical specifications
• Develop system design and programming of AGV systems
• Assisting in AGV system testing and integration, and AGV factory testing
• Assist with installation specifications
• Testing and integration of AGV and PLC systems
• Commissioning of AGVs on-site
• Support projects in managing costs and schedules
• Participate in the training of operators
• Assist in the development and improvement of the AGV project delivery

About You

Successful candidates will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Recent grad or 1-2 years experience
• Knowledge of PLC configuration, programming and commissioning
• Knowledge of PC and basic programming (PLC Structured Text, SICK Devices, C or C++ highly desirable)
• Experience with networking, monitoring, diagnosis and trouble shooting
• Experience in electrical design using AutoCAD or similar 2D and 3D drawing packages
• Experience with automation or materials handling highly desirable
• Strong communication skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Hunger and ability to learn
