Overview

Ability Action Australia are one of the largest providers to the NDIS, supporting over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed. #AAA have a multi-disciplinary team approach, building a quality support service around the needs and goals of our participants and their family.

We are expanding our team in Ryde and surrounding suburbs. We would love to welcome a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join us in making a positive impact in our community. We are open to applications from Occupational Therapists of all levels of experience that are looking for full time or part time roles.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing participants emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
  • Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
  • Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities.
  • Recommend provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.
Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
  • Looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
