About the role:
The position is within Family Services, part of the Family & Community Programs at Mackillop. Based at the South Melbourne office, it is part of the wider Family Services Team in Southern Melbourne, focusing on Family Preservation & Reunification. The role involves working as part of the Southern Melbourne Family Services Alliance and reports to the IFS & Early Help Coordinator.
The Integrated Family Services Practitioner will provide casework within the Alliance, offering direct case management to families.
This is a Full-Time Fixed Term 38 hours per week until 30.06.2026, based in Dandenong South, VIC, within our Family and Community Services Program. The position reports to the Integrated Family Services & Early Help Coordinator.
Key Selection Criteria:
To succeed, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, child development, psychology, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered.
- Understanding of contemporary family violence frameworks in interventions with vulnerable children, young people, and parents with complex needs.
- Knowledge of child development and challenges faced by vulnerable children, young people, and families.
- Skills in assessing risks, needs, and safety for families.
- Experience in casework and case management with culturally diverse families.
- Ability to engage with vulnerable children, young people, and families.

Requirements:
- Valid and current Driver's Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
