Weinberger Lawyers is a litigation-led firm with a sharp focus on high-stakes, property-related and commercial disputes. Our cases include strata litigation (with particular strength in Part 10 of the SSD Act), development and collective sales, property purchase disputes, equitable claims, local government matters, and more.

Since launching in 2020, we've acted in landmark matters across the Supreme Court of New South Wales (including the Court of Appeal), Federal Court of Australia, Land and Environment Court, and various tribunals. We work closely with leading junior and senior counsel and are known for our rigour, responsiveness, and results.

We're based in the heritage-listed City Mutual Building in the Sydney CBD, a short walk from Circular Quay, Wynyard and Martin Place.

About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, reliable and motivated Senior Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support our growing practice.

Whether you're a seasoned legal assistant who thrives on being one step ahead, or an experienced law student looking to gain deep experience in litigation and property, this role offers hands-on exposure to interesting, complex matters.

This could be a full-time or part-time position depending on your experience and availability. For a law student or aspiring lawyer, this role could progress to a graduate legal role within the firm.

What You'll Be Doing

• Drafting and preparing legal documents and correspondence
• Assisting with court filings, bundles and briefs for counsel
• Supporting the Principal Lawyer and other lawyers with litigation and property transactional matters
• Managing deadlines, calendars, and file administration
• Liaising with clients, barristers, and court staff
• Conducting legal research and assisting in preparing hearing documents
• Playing a key role in helping the firm run smoothly and efficiently

About You

We're open to different backgrounds, from a career paralegal with a gift for the finer details, to a law student who's eager to learn and grow with us.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

• Previous experience in a law firm (litigation or property preferred)
• Strong written communication and document formatting skills
• A keen eye for detail and solid organisational habits
• The ability to juggle tasks in a fast-paced legal environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal practice systems
• Familiarity with PEXA

Bonus Points For

• Experience in property or commercial litigation
• Prior exposure to Supreme Court, Federal Court, District Court, LEC or NCAT matters
• A long-term interest in legal practice or a pathway to graduate employment
