Health Information Manager – The Royal Melbourne Hospital / Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS)

OverviewParkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) provides dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12-25 in Melbourne's north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters and kin. PYMHWS is Victoria's first standalone public mental health service built exclusively around young people's needs. The service focuses on youth-centered, accessible, evidence-informed care developed in partnership with Orygen.
The OpportunityWe are currently hiring a Health Information Manager to provide support and guidance in all health information related activities at PYMHWS. The primary areas of responsibility include ensuring systems address data integrity issues and providing quality assurance for the collection, processing, reporting and monitoring of clinical information and service activity to meet reporting and compliance obligations. This role will educate stakeholders on health information requirements across PYMHWS.
Responsibilities- Create systems, provide quality assurance and support the operational management of health information for clinical teams across PYMHWS.
- Address data integrity and provide quality assurance for collection, processing, reporting and monitoring of the clinical information and service activity.
- Develop and provide education and training to different stakeholders on health information requirements.
- Assist and maintain high standards of privacy, confidentiality and other areas of Health Information governance.
- Support the day-to-day activities of the Health Information Service.
- Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent.
- Eligible for membership of Health Information Management Association of Australia.
- Previous health information management experience in a health care service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organisation.
