About the role

As our next Boilermaker reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high quality solutions and results.

Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation is situated 5 km outside of Muswellbrook in the Picturesque Hunter Valley. These are permanent positions, and you will work a rotating lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5 12 hour shifts.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform quality repairs and maintenance of a diverse fleet in accordance with Thiess policies and procedures, safely and efficiently.
  • Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer-based systems and execute maintenance in accordance with this information.
  • Be responsible for the use and proper storage of workshop and personal tooling and advise the supervisor of any defects or safety issues.
  • Set and maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Carry out pre-start checks, and personal and group risk assessments as required by the task.

About you

To be considered for this role you are required to have:

  • Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or Equivalent.
  • HR Drivers licence preferable.
  • EWP, Dogging and MDG25 (preferable).
  • Post trade experience working in the mining and heavy earthmoving industry, or hydraulic excavator industry.
