Job Title: Disability Support Worker

St Jude's Disability Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. As a leading provider of services for people with disability and psychosocial needs in Australia since 1982, we are committed to delivering high-quality support that values the choice and goals of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, showering, dressing, cooking, and cleaning
  • Provide individual support to clients with psychosocial requirements
  • Accompany clients on social outings, shopping trips, and appointments
  • Liaise with families and representatives of clients as required
  • Promote positive behaviors, learning experiences, and skill development
About the Role:

This permanent part-time position will be based at accommodations in Logan and Griffin, where you will work closely with multiple clients, developing rapport and forming lasting professional relationships. You will work within the NDIS funding framework, assisting clients to achieve their goals, increase their independence, and participate in the community.

Requirements:
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
  • Proof of working rights - Passport or visa
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Previous experience as a support worker in the health/disability sector or relevant Cert III qualification highly desirable
  • Experience working with clients who live with mental health issues highly regarded
