Practiv is a cloud-native Data Cloud & AI consultancy. Our core business involves migrating large organizations' services to the cloud and delivering UX-led applications with our in-house CI/CD tooling.

We develop software for customers and provide internal development and infrastructure teams with our expertise. We believe developers should be able to deploy high-quality software daily, even in heavily regulated environments. Our pipelines ensure delivery quality and timeliness. We manage both public and private cloud infrastructures, including on-premise, GCP, AWS, and Azure. We utilize proven software delivery and infrastructure patterns across diverse industries, continuously tuning them for optimal results.

As our reputation for quality and delivery grows, so does our business. We are seeking an energetic, Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and develop world-class solutions for AU and the US markets.

What you can bring us
  • At least 5 years of experience in System Administration with GCP or AWS.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining platforms to industry standards, with a proactive approach to improvements and platform stability.
  • Confidence to make technical decisions, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Strong focus on delivery, with the ability to estimate work, prioritize business outcomes, and collaborate effectively with senior teams.
  • Technical leadership qualities, with a broad range of experience and the ability to work efficiently with other senior professionals.
  • Analytical mindset, curiosity about platform architecture, and composure during high-pressure incidents.
  • Proven production experience with:
    • Terraform (Amazon, 5 years)
    • GCP or AWS (5 years)
    • Kubernetes (3 years)
    • Bash Scripting (5+ years)
    • Jenkins (3 years)
    • Maven or similar (1 year)
    • Capacity planning and performance testing (3 years)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, or New Relic is desirable.
  • Customer-facing experience involving:
    • Microservices architecture
    • Greenfield projects
    • Cloud migrations following best practices
