Overview

Maintenance Officer role at Bolton Clarke. Permanent Full time role Monday to Friday at Pemulwuy Aged Care.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and undertake inspection and delivery of statutory, preventative and corrective maintenance of the facility.
  • Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors.
  • Ensure an aesthetic, compliant and safe working environment.
  • Maintain property facilities including cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, disposal of rubbish, air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, furniture removal, and general repairs.
  • Ensure planned maintenance of Home assets is executed in accordance with the Maintenance Plan and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation.
  • Use preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are conducted within budget and follow workflow procedures.
  • Carry out scheduled tasks within agreed timelines.

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as an AIN within residential aged care (desirable).
  • Flexibility and reliability with a strong commitment to work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families and all levels of staff.
  • Strong passion for working with the elderly.
  • Current COVID and Annual Flu Vaccination (Mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience of building maintenance work and procedures.
  • Min 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Contractor Management.
  • Experience in managing site maintenance budgets, work orders and requisitions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant legislation, codes and standards.
  • Moderate computer literacy.
  • OHS White Card.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • A pre-employment medical assessment will be required for this role.
  • National Police Check and may require NDIS Worker Screen.

The successful applicant must complete a National Police Check and may need to complete an NDIS Worker Screen.
