Ravenswood School for Girls seeks a Deputy Head of Junior School – Wellbeing and Administration to support the Head of Junior School – Deputy Principal.

Job Description

The successful applicant will have experience integrating Positive Psychology principles to realise student wellbeing and a holistic approach to student care, as well as skills in implementing and developing the Positive Education curriculum and wellbeing initiatives in the Junior School.

  • Ensure the ongoing implementation and development of the Positive Education curriculum and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Develop positive relationships and foster collaboration among teachers and key stakeholders.
  • Work in a committed and professional team within the Christian ethos of the school.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Education, registration with NESA, and a postgraduate qualification in Wellbeing, Positive Education or a similar field. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

This is a permanent, full-time position that will commence at the beginning of Term 1. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Head of Junior School – Deputy Principal in the administration of the Junior School and pastoral care of its students.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to promote student wellbeing and a holistic approach to student care.
  • Collaborating with teachers and key stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the Positive Education curriculum and wellbeing initiatives.
