Business Development Consultant

A dynamic individual with exceptional networking skills is required to engage employers, strengthen their businesses and launch job seekers on their career path.

We are seeking enthusiastic team members to join the expanding team at Training Alliance Group, primarily working with employers in the Fremantle, Cockburn and Kwinana locations.

About the Role

As a Business Development Consultant you will assess the skills and suitability of 15-24 year old job seekers in our Transition to Work (TtW) program. You will identify vacant positions and place participants into meaningful employment through:

  • Understanding local labour market needs and engaging employers and industry stakeholders.
  • Building relationships with community organisations and local stakeholders.
  • Liaising directly with employers to identify employment opportunities for our participants.
  • Marketing participants' skills to employers and educating them to employ TAG participants.
  • Delivering post placement support to both parties.
  • Brokering short-term work experience opportunities and converting placements to full time employment.
  • Maintaining IT systems and internal database of vacancy management.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring travel throughout the Perth South Metro area.

About You

To be successful you will:

  • Demonstrate skills and experience in developing networks with decision makers.
  • Have achieved business targets and KPIs in previous roles.
  • Know the local labour market and youth employment strengths/weaknesses.
  • Work within a contractually compliant environment.
  • Hold a current driver's licence.
  • Satisfy pre-employment checks including a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Experience in employment services is not essential as extensive induction and ongoing support is provided by our Quality and Development Team.
