Fremantle, Western Australia Training Alliance Group Full time
Business Development Consultant - Employment Services

Are you passionate about networking with people on all levels from various backgrounds? Do you want to engage local employers, develop solutions which strengthen their businesses and launch job seekers on their career path?

If this sounds like you, consider a career move as we are seeking enthusiastic team members to join Training Alliance Group's (TAG) expanding team primarily working with employers in the Fremantle, Cockburn and Kwinana locations.

About the Role

As a Business Development Consultant you will engage job seekers aged 15-24 in our Transition to Work (TtW) program to assess their skills and suitability to different industries. By engaging employers and identifying vacant positions you will then be able to place participants into meaningful employment. Core activities include:

  • Developing a sound understanding of the local labour market and engaging employers and industry to understand their needs.
  • Building relationships with community organisations and local stakeholders.
  • Liaising directly with employers to identify meaningful employment opportunities for our participants.
  • Conduct reverse marketing to highlight the skills of participants to employers.
  • Educating and supporting employers to employ TAG participants and delivering post placement support to both parties.
  • Brokering short-term work experience opportunities and marketing participants during their placement to maximise conversion into full time employment.
  • Maintaining IT systems and internal database of all vacancy management.

This is a permanent full-time role and successful applicants must be willing to travel throughout the Perth South Metro area.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have demonstrated skills and experience in developing networks with a proven ability to influence decision makers.
  • Have demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding business targets and KPIs.
  • Possess knowledge of the local labour market and the strengths and weaknesses of the region regarding youth employment.
  • Have the ability to work within a contractually compliant environment.
  • Have a current driver's licence.
  • Satisfy a pre-employment check including a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.

Experience in employment services is not essential, as our Quality and Development Team provide an extensive induction program and ongoing support to ensure you are well supported in your new role.
