• Collaboratively develop, implement, and maintain an appropriate framework to manage the department's corporate taxation responsibilities
• Lead the high-quality review and analysis of complex taxation matters
• Provide specialist advice and input into the research, analysis, and drafting of policies related to taxation
• Contribute to the preparation of ministerial correspondence and briefings for senior management on taxation matters
• Lead and manage a small, high-performing finance and taxation team
• Provide specialist advice to stakeholders on the impact of taxation legislation changes
• Ensure effective compliance with the department's corporate tax responsibilities
• Enhance the knowledge and further develop the capabilities of self and team members in relation to taxation matters

As the ideal candidate for this Principal Finance Partner position, you bring extensive technical expertise in Australian taxation legislation. • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in applying Australian taxation legislation
• Sound awareness of the Financial Accountability Act 2009, the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2019, and relevant accounting standards
• Experience leading activities related to the National Tax Equivalents Regime (NTER)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and managing a small team
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
