Data Analytics Consultant - Manager (ICT Benchmarking)

Location: Canberra (with flexible working options)

Salary: $140,000 - $165,000

This is a Canberra-based team, where you'll apply your expertise in statistical analysis, ICT benchmarking, and data modelling to deliver real impact.

Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a Government Security Clearance

What You'll Be Doing
  • Designing and executing ICT benchmarking studies, working with large, complex datasets.
  • Applying advanced statistical techniques (regression, hypothesis testing, data sampling, etc.) using tools such as Python, R, SPSS, SAS, and Minitab.
  • Turning complex findings into clear recommendations that guide technology investment and transformation.
  • Developing statistical data models, performing analysis, and producing compelling visualisations with tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Evaluating ICT pricing structures, vendor performance, and commercial outcomes to support strategic decision-making.
What We're Looking For
  • Manager level: 5+ years' experience.
  • Background in consulting, technology suppliers, or internal advisory functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Excel (including Power Query), Python, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Understanding of ICT finance, pricing, and benchmarking frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the Commonwealth Government environment (desirable).
Qualifications
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, or related field (highly desirable).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Analytics Professional, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, ISACA, Statistical Society of Australia accreditation) are a plus.
