Overview

ITS Electrician/Traffic Signals Electrician - Join Our Team We\'re looking for a skilled Traffic Signals Electrician to join our growing team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with experience in traffic signals and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), particularly in installation, maintenance, fault finding, and commissioning. You\'ll be working across a diverse range of projects that keep our transport infrastructure running safely and efficiently. No two days are the same - you\'ll respond to both planned and real-time operational needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Base pay range

A$45.00/hr - A$75.00/hr

What You\'ll Need to Succeed
  • Electrical License (essential or ability to obtain)
  • Experience in the QLD Traffic Signal and ITS industry (highly regarded)
  • White Card (essential)
  • Driver\'s License
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Strong knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
Key Responsibilities
  • Construction and reconstruction of traffic control assets such as:
    • Traffic Control Signals (TCS)
    • Variable Message Signs (VMS)
    • Hazard warning signs (AWS, VSLS)
  • Installation and modification of new and existing Traffic Signals and ITS assets
  • Conduct inspections and testing in line with Australian Standards and requirements
  • Perform fault finding and rectification
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, and internal teams
  • Adapt quickly to new tasks and changing project requirements
