What you'll be doing in this roleHornsby Day Surgery is seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic professional to join our administration team, where you will undertake a blend of reception and office administration duties. This diverse role involves greeting and assisting visitors with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. You will manage incoming phone inquiries and emails, coordinate appointments and meetings, prepare and distribute reports, and assist with billing and invoicing. Additionally, you will maintain client files, including data entry of client details, fund checks, and retrieval of client files and reports.
Our administration team operates in shifts, with two administrators on duty at any given time. The clinic is open 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM and shifts will predominantly be 9am – 5pm, but some flexibility on start and finish times on your regular days would be appreciated to work with the team. At Hornsby Day Surgery, you will be part of a close-knit team that values respect, collaboration, and excellent patient outcomes.
Who we're looking for- You'll have previous experience in a similar clerical or administration role and knowledge of Medical Terminology (preferable).
- You'll be a people person, with strong customer service skills, capable of working with hospital staff, clients, patients and their families.
- You'll be collaborative, adaptable, and be able to work independently and as part of a team, with the ability to take feedback and adjust to changing needs and priorities.
- You'll be computer literate, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly in Excel.
- You'll be systematic, organised, able to multi-task under pressure, have excellent attention to detail and able to carry tasks to completion.
- You'll have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- You'll be empathetic, systematic, and prepared to embrace Adventist Healthcare's everyday values of excellence and integrity.
- You'll be able to commit on working Thursday and Fridays, and as a bonus could cover additional leave days to support the team.
