North East Metropolitan Language Development Centre (NEMLDC) is seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Education Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026.
Note: This position is being advertised as part of a recruitment pilot designed to simplify the application process for teachers. A mandatory CV template is provided for use. The remaining AITSL domain will be assessed as part of the further assessment stage, for shortlisted applicants only.

The SchoolNEMLDC is seeking to establish a pool of motivated and dedicated teachers to join our school for children who have Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). We provide specialist speech, language and academic intervention for children from Kindergarten to Year 2. We are an early intervention facility, and our students typically exit to their mainstream schools at the end of year 2.
Staff members work and plan collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team which includes teachers, speech pathologists, an occupational therapist, school psychologist, education assistants and administration staff. Our language programs are integrated into the Western Australian Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework.

The RoleSuitable applicants should be able to work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment, be committed to whole school approaches and possess a strong evidence-based approach to teaching and learning. As an Early Childhood Education Teacher, you would provide a learning environment that is caring, engaging, and differentiated to cater for the specific needs of our students. You will ideally have a sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Suitable applicants offered a position will be provided with induction and training to develop their skills and understanding of DLD and how to best support the needs of their students. Suitable applicants will be provided with ongoing support through coaching, mentors, performance development and collaborative learning.
Suitable applicants will ideally be flexible, energetic and prepared to engage in partnerships with colleagues, speech pathologists, parents and other agencies. The ability to apply current evidence-based research to classroom practice and whole school approaches, such as IntiaLit, CMS, Bond Blocks and Explicit Instruction is highly desirable. We are seeking teachers with strong classroom and positive behaviour support skills to successfully engage students and facilitate their learning.
NEMLDC has over 300 students enrolled across three campuses which are co-located with West Morley, Beechboro and North Balga Primary Schools. Teachers may be placed at any campus and may change campus locations according to the needs of the school.
