Food Technology Teacher - Fixed Term - Term 4 2025

Elevation Secondary College is a new 7–12 Secondary College in Melbourne's north, opening its doors to Year 7 students in 2020. The school has over 900 students across Years 7–11 and will add an additional Year 7 cohort annually until 2025, when it will become a 7–12 school.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FOOD TECHNOLOGY TEACHER TO JOIN OUR TEAM

This is a full-time, fixed-term role:

• Term 4, 2025: 6th October – 19th December 2025.

• Flexible, part-time negotiable for the right candidate.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum programs.
  • Undertaking classroom teaching and organizational duties as determined by the School Principal.
  • Participating in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps, and excursions.
  • Performing other supervisory duties as required.
Classroom Teacher Classification:

The role includes two salary ranges: Range 1 and Range 2, focusing on planning, preparation, and teaching to achieve student outcomes, with opportunities for professional growth and contribution beyond the classroom.

Range 2 Teachers:
  • Assist in improving student performance and contribute to school policies.
  • Mentor and coach other teachers, supervise student teachers, and use data to inform teaching.
Range 1 Teachers:
  • Develop skills under structured support, focusing on classroom management, content, and teaching practice.
  • Participate in policy development and professional learning activities.
