The Role: We are looking for a highly regarded professional to teach Food Technology to students in years 8-10. You will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and practical lessons in a modern, well-equipped kitchen setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other teachers and dedicated staff to develop a comprehensive food technology curriculum.

  • Create engaging and informative lesson plans that cover various aspects of food technology, including cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety.
  • Instruct students on proper food safety and hygiene practices, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Teach students how to safely and effectively use kitchen equipment, including ovens, stovetops, knives, and other culinary tools.
  • Integrate nutrition education into the curriculum, educating students about the nutritional value of foods and promoting healthy eating habits.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • A valid VIT registration
  • Catholic Accreditation (favourable but not essential)
  • Experience in Food Technology in Australia (advantageous but not required)
